The Game Master's Handbook: Hosting a Flawless Bingo
Your step-by-step masterplan, from curation to celebration.
The Occasion: Choose Your Story
The foundation of a great game is the right occasion. Whether it's a wedding, a birthday, or a reunion, your photos should tell a story – childhood memories, milestones, or hidden gems. Need inspiration? Check out our 5 creative occasions for a Bingo.
The Prizes: Quality or Quantity?
There are no fixed rules, but we have a preference: multiply the small cute or funny gifts! This way, more people win, the game lasts longer, and nobody leaves empty-handed.
The Prize Ritual: Open or Mystery?
Be creative! You can expose the prizes for a "First come, first served" vibe. Or, you can wrap them all in mystery paper so each winner picks a gift by chance. The curiosity adds an extra layer of fun to every "BINGO!"
The Setup: Print & Screens
Printing your cards is a must – use standard paper, or slightly thicker paper for a premium feel. You can save space by printing 2 to 4 cards per page. And don't forget to bring plenty of pens! For the display, a large TV is perfect, but a laptop or tablet works great for smaller groups.
Winning Rules: Lines & Full House
A "Bingo" is usually a full line (horizontal, vertical, or diagonal). For a grand finale, play for the "Full House" (all squares). Not sure how many photos you need to keep the pace? Use our math-based simulator to find the perfect balance.
The Host: Be the Storyteller
Don't just show the photos – narrate them! When a photo appears, share a quick 10-second anecdote. It transforms the game into a shared trip down memory lane. The Bingo is just the excuse; the stories are the real prize! (And as Game Master, you get the final word on verifying those winner claims 😉)
